Seeing The Elephant

Welcome to my blog, and thanks for reading my first post!

I’m many things: an elephant conservationist, philosopher, aspiring novelist, and spiritual seeker/finder (somewhere between the two at this point).

I chose the title “Seeing the Elephant” because it encapsulated all of my parallel lives and interests. My relationship to elephants is innocent, loving, and plain to a two-year-old, but “seeing the elephant” is also an old American idiom implying something like staring into the sun: to “see the elephant” is to see truth at great personal cost, and this is apropos to both my philosophical and spiritual lives. As for my novel, you can expect visions of gray (sorry, not pink), elephants!
